About Darlene Panzera: Writing Coach, Mentor, and Award-Winning Author

Darlene Panzera is a multi-published, award-winning author with over 16 books to her name, ranging from heartwarming contemporary romance to historical novellas and even a few picture books for kids. As the co-founder of Aspiring Writer Academy, she’s passionate about sharing what she’s learned to help other writers grow, improve, and confidently pursue their dreams of publication.

Darlene started writing stories in spiral notebooks at age 14 and never stopped. Over the years, through plenty of ups and downs—including personal and financial challenges—she remained committed to her dream of becoming a published author.

Her big break came in 2011 when she won HarperCollins’ Avon Books “Make Your Dreams Come True” contest. Her novella The Bet was featured in the back of Family Affair by #1 New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber, published in 2012. Just two weeks later, the publisher offered her a full-length book contract for the expanded version, Bet You’ll Marry Me, launching her traditional publishing career.

Since then, she’s published multiple books and series—including The Cupcake Diaries and Montana Hearts with Avon/HarperCollins, plus three historical novellas with Barbour Publishing. Her novella The Groom She Thought She’d Left Behind (part of The Runaway Brides Collection) won the 2020 ACFW Carol Award. Along the way, Darlene also signed with literary agent Nicole Resciniti of The Seymour Agency.

Over the years, Darlene has taught workshops at writing conferences across the U.S. and worked closely with many new writers, guiding them from their very first idea all the way to a finished, published book.

Today, as a hybrid author publishing both traditionally and independently, Darlene brings a well-rounded perspective to the writing world—and uses that experience to help other writers confidently navigate their own unique paths to publication.

Welcome to Aspiring Writer Academy! Whether you’re just dreaming of writing a book or ready to take your career to the next level, you’re in the right place. About Samantha Panzera: Graphic Designer, Self-Publishing Mentor & Author Marketing Coach

Samantha Panzera is a tech-savvy graphic and website designer, self-publishing mentor, and author marketing coach. She’s also the co-founder of Aspiring Writer Academy, where she helps writers handle the tech and business side of publishing, without the overwhelm.

With a degree in integrated multimedia specializing in graphic design and marketing, plus years of hands-on experience—Samantha helps authors bring their books to life and build polished, professional author platforms. She teaches writers how to format manuscripts for both print and eBooks, design standout book covers and promo graphics, build visually appealing and functional websites, and create effective marketing plans for their book launches. Beyond the design work, Samantha also guides authors through the world of book marketing—helping them run book ads, create and implement book launch strategies, grow an email list, and understand how to reach the right readers.

Samantha’s journey into helping authors began during college, just as her mom, award-winning author Darlene Panzera, started landing traditional book contracts. Samantha eagerly jumped in to help—designing bookmarks, creating graphics, and building her mom’s first author website. That website was actually her main project for a website design class, where she learned Adobe Dreamweaver and HTML coding. Even Riki and J.R., the beloved characters from Darlene and Samantha’s children’s book series, started as a college Adobe Illustrator assignment, where Samantha turned real-life animals into cartoon characters. What began as family teamwork soon grew into a genuine passion for guiding authors through the often overwhelming tech and business side of writing.

Now, she works with indie authors and small businesses to bring their books and brands to life—making the tech side feel simple, doable, and even kind of fun.
